Retreat: Connect

Last year after our first ever church retreat, one person said to me,

"Why didn't we do this sooner? This was far and away the best thing we've done to get to know one another! Now I feel like I'm really a part of this community!"

Other people used words like encouraging, refreshing, or just commented on it being lots and lots of fun. The retreat was definitely one of the highlights of the year. As we played games, played sports in the gym, ate meals together, made fires, roasted marshmallows and stayed up late eating snacks and talking about life throughout the weekend, I found my soul nourished by all the connecting that was going on.

If you went last year, you already know all this. But if you're new to New City, you might not. Make sure you ask someone who went last year. They can explain it to you better than I will ever be able to in an email.

If you already know you are going, I encourage you to invite a friend or a family to join us. At $49/adult and $25/kid (which includes room and board from Friday night through Sunday lunch), it's the cheapest vacation around.
