Lemonade for Haiti

Posted on August 1, 2011 by webadmin

Hi everyone!

This email is for New City kids (and their parents). Do you remember when Jina showed us pictures from Haiti and told us about the people who didn’t have houses? There were two boys in particular, who lived with their mom, Anita (pictured above), who didn’t have a safe house (also pictured above) to live in. We’re having a lemonade stand to send them some money to build a safe house, and you can help!

Here’s what’s happening:
Lemonade and cookie stand, this Wednesday (Aug. 3rd) from 4 pm to 6 pm, at the Asanji house (5101 Valley View Rd.) in Edina.

Here’s what you can do:
Come and buy lemonade and a cookie for a dollar! Also, tell all your friends to come and buy lemonade and cookies! If you would like to do more, we could use some more cookies and baked goods. You could bake or buy some cookies or brownies with your parents and bring them to sell.

Please let me know if you plan to bring any baked goods, so we have some idea how much we will have.

Hope to see you on Wednesday!

Emmylou and Hannah Grosser
